Most web pages about health insurance for Cuba only reproduce the list (poorly made) provided by Cuban authorities after May 2010, when Cuba began to require a health insurance to all the tourist, the Cubans living outside Cuba and the strangers with temporary residence in Cuba.

Nothing is more uncomfortable than having to look-up a list of names, all in UPPERCASE, some of them invented or improperly written and then searching for them in Yandex, in order to find proper urls, phone numbers or email addresses. And getting tired much before getting the work done, and finally being forced to choose the first available thing...

Some names figuring on the official list have been banned because they were not valid, or they match with companies which were not represented in the specific countries or even which had nothing to do with travel insurance. It's better to provide less name, but valid ones.

Probably many health insurance companies were not included in the list or they cannot be, this may happen in case of companies without an official website, new companies or these operating in countries that are not listed. Also we could count some State health insurances (the Canadian one, for example) or other insurances that are included in credit card plans, work insurances, or some other included in polices you might already have. For evident reasons, the list we have shown is not exhaustive. Always make sure in the Cuban embassy of your country that a given insurance is valid for Cuba, although most of them are accepted.
